Eidos needed a game like 25 to Life to replenish their coffers... Cheap to produce (no content at all), no need to pay for it's publicity (someone does it for them), sells like crazy because some people are stupid to realize that banning a game doesn't make it a good game to buy, or that it wouldn't piss anyone off.
Yup. If they really wanted to boycott the game, they'd just have to say how horrible it is to play and not all the horrible things in it. Ah the horrible irony of being able to lambast a game before it even came out for being so 'horrible for its criminal acts', that it helps promote the game, even if its a big pile of crud.
I guess this proves that while politicians might not be that smart, marketers can find a silver lining to any situation and capitalize on it.

Sometimes I wonder how well 25 to Life would have sold if there had not been as much controversey over it. With all these people flapping their gums it's almost as if Eidos would never need to pay for any advertising. Hal has said what a majority of us have been saying for a while now. The game is pretty mediocre, if it is left alone it will die it's own death. These democrats just don't know when to drop it.
