This is the kinda news I like to wake up to. Way to go penny arcade, just a bit more, and be break the million dollar number. This makes me proud to be a part of the game community. Childsplay can count on my support from now until infinity.

Well done.

Funny how a charity that shares a name with a horror film has done so much good, and the anti-gamers, who insist they're the good guys, have done nothing but cause harm.

Yes, how very interesting is THAT. I try to remember what the anti-gamers have done to help, but I can't.

They've jokingly offered 1/42nd of the charity money raised in a "satire".

So, yeah, they haven't offered much of anything...

Really makes me sick how we do more good than they, yet they have the fucking balls to calls us the "enemy", or the "problem". Just because our games are violent. Pfft. Don't like them, don't let them into your home. It's that too hard, you're not worthy of being a parent and need your kids taken away from you.

For those who are interested, I went to the auction and took some pictures, which can be found on my LJ:

It was a very good night, many of the larger donations were made by a slightly inebriated fellow in the middle of the room.

Bad news sells better than good news. Makes absolutely no sense, but it's true.
