So treating video games differently from other forms of Free Speech media is fine by you?

No offense, but that argument makes no sense. There is no reason that media has to be treated all the same. You'll find plenty of examples elsewhere. Like tobaco and alcohol both having different legal ages, or over the counter drugs not regulated when all those are drugs.

I don't know how things work in the US, but here in Canada, there's already legislation in place. If I were under 18 and bought GTA from an Electronics Boutique, the store would be shut down, the company fined, and the employee who sold it to me arrested. Same thing if I were a kid renting porn or trying to buy a gun.

I'm not sure how this shits all over free speech.

All aboard the morality band-wagon!!! apathyislife December 2 2005, 19:35:39 UTC
Cause the abortion, and gay marriage issues aren't going to work for the democrats.

This just pisses me off. I'm sorry that the republican party is perceived as being morally superior (... yuh right), but this is just sad.

From their parents who give them $50 a week for allowance just so the parents don't have to hear their kids whine about how little Johnny down the street gets to have all these things.

I remember starting off with fifty cents for my allowance. By the time I was a teenager I managed to get that up to five, but still...

Anything more and you had to work for it. And only the more mature, responsible kids did that anyway.
