So I had my suspicions about the author of this demonstration of genius when I first read it, but stumbling across something on Tumblr mentioning a certain person L makes me pretty certain! Either way, this was amazing, AND OMFG URSA IS SUCH A BEAR ISLAND NAME YOU ARE PERFECT!!

And I nearly died when I found Ursa on the Wiki. Did you see Cassie's headcanon about it being a historical Bear Islander and she's the woman in the gate carving?

Thing is, it's one of those things that seems painfully obvious once it's mentioned - of course Ursa is a Bear Island name!!

Yup, Jorah had a wife before Lynesse--they were married ten years and she had three miscarriages and died of the last one. It was an arranged marriage and Jorah wasn't in love with her and it's just impossibly sad to me. :( I think that explains a lot of why Jorah does the things he does later for love.
