Announcing...Get Lucky Porn Battle
It's been a while since we had a porn battle at gameofships, and with the third season of Game of Thrones premiering soon we thought our favorite pairings could all use a little luck in love before the storm of swords and other misfortunes sink our ships.
We'll kick off later today with a solicitation for prompts, but you might be asking--what is a porn battle? A porn battle is a little different from a kink meme. In a porn battle, fans produce hot fanfic/art/videos/songs inspired by prompts, and post them in the comments of the community for all to enjoy. It lasts for a little under two weeks, there should be a lot of prompts to pull from, and it's a battle where everyone WINS! The prompts should be nouns, adjectives, verbs, and short phrases that serve as points of inspiration for a particular pairing, not a lengthy request or a story outline.
Schedule:
Prompt solicitation post goes up: Monday, March 4
Prompt deadline: Wednesday, March 6
Official prompt list posting: Thursday, March 7
Posting of stories/artwork/videos/songs to community: Wednesday, March 13 to Friday, March 15
General Information:
To participate, contribute prompt(s), pick a prompt (any prompt, even your own) and write a porny fic or hot fanart, video, or song.
Fanworks inspired by prompts should not be posted until Wednesday, March 13, when a post will be put up in this comm for that day’s porn entries. Post your porn as a new comment to that post. A new post will be made for each day of the battle, which concludes Friday, March 15.
You may enter as many times as you like. If you have more than one fanwork, it is HIGHLY recommend that you not post them all at once, but spread out your posting over the three days of the Porn Battle. Readers are much more likely to read your fic when they're posted one at a time, not in a big clump.

Please read before posting! Work that doesn’t follow the rules will be deleted.
1. Fanwork producers of explicit content should be 18 or older. I have no intention of checking birth certificates.
2. You do not need to claim a prompt. Take a prompt and use it as you see fit. Others will use it differently if they choose the same prompt.
3. You must post something new. It can be part of something longer you’re working on, but it must not have been previously posted. Fanworks should be at least partially inspired by one of the prompts.
4. Post your work as a new comment in that day's porn battle post, not as a reply to another comment.
5. You may post your work anonymously.
6. Collaborative fics are welcome!
7. No flames or trolls. Don’t like a pairing/grouping? Don’t read it. Don’t like a particular author/creator? Don’t read/view their work. Don’t like a story? Keep your snark to yourself. Mods will delete any such posts, ban users who act like drunken sellswords, and may disable anonymous commenting. Be supportive or you won’t be welcome.
8. Do not include any headers or author’s notes in your work. The only notes permissible are warnings and links to a longer work.
9. Stories: must fit in one comment, so the limit is 4,300 characters, which is very roughly 850 to 900 words. If your story is longer than the maximum word count, post a porny section in the comment and link to the rest of the fic.
10. Art: if it's larger than 800 pixels wide or 500 KB, please use a thumbnail linking to the art, or to a post containing the art.
11. Vids and songs: please provide a link or embed your video from YouTube or another video service.
12. If your work contains common triggers (see community rules for which triggers apply), post a warning.
13. As soon as the Porn Battle is over (Friday, March 15 at 10 p.m. Central Time United States), you may post your story/art/video anywhere you would like. It will be permanently archived in this community.

Q. How ‘porny’ does my creation have to be?
A. It doesn’t need to be hardcore if that isn’t your cup of moon tea. However, if it is, that is okay too. All levels of romance or sexiness are welcome.

A. All of them.
