"What good would that do me, Sylar?" There was a hurt look in Peter's eyes, hurt and angry. He stood up and turned to face Sylar, sketchpad tucked under one arm, the other free to gesture. "I told you before - I tried; it didn't work. It's not what people really wanted out of me. It's not what you really want out of me." His eyes travelled up and down Sylar's frame, the dark uses Sylar probably wanted him for - revenge against Peter's family, against Peter, catharsis, dominance, and the all-encompassing lust of someone used to taking what he wanted, but now being denied for years. Peter was denying him. The erotic power in that was heady, but Peter needed more than simple temptation. His eyes rose to meet Sylar's again. "How would I get what I want out of a relationship with you?" It was half a challenge and half curiosity. He couldn't believe he was actually asking, as though there might be an answer that would make it possible.
