Love this! :D A great article that was really intriguing and then how Gabe would interpret it! :) I like that he was so happy to not be alone and be legitimized too!!

Also <3 PETER!!! He finally is figuring how to interact with Gabe out <3 it was wonderful to see all that character growth!

OMG! Are you saying that ::gasp:: Peter is getting over being a huge dick?

I really have been working at that. Heh. Glad it's paying off.

I don't read Shattered Salvation, but honestly I couldn't not take a look at this. I'm glad I did. While I might not get the place that this particular version is at, I think any iteration of Sylar would probably find something profound in the idea. And just on its own its an interesting theory for this 'verse.

I've always liked the idea of the "ancient abilities" hinted in some of the comics. I had an idea once that was kind of similar, only the theory (put forth by a reputed crackpot in the Company) was that people with Sylar's ability were the inspiration for vampire myths.

(Translation: Once, I very nearly wrote a "historical" story about Vlad the Impaler as a special. lol)

Wait, what? You don't read SS? But you're Hazgarn! I think of you every time I write anything like Sylar/Heidi!

Heh. Ah, the misconceptions. I think I'll still try to convince myself that you're out there reading, though.

In canon (at least in the graphic novels), there's a person who can touch people and dehydrate them, eventually leaving them withered and dessicated. I took that idea and had a character in one of my stories who could touch people (with his mouth) and exsanguinate them. So yes, like a vampire! That was in Shattered Salvation, the main villain in Spain the Company team was after and never caught (although they did get his female accomplice with a plant-based power and another guy who could drain electricity from areas).

I'm certain there was a reason I never got into it, but I don't remember why. I know I remember reading the description at some point and being jazzed at the prospect of Sylar/Heidi, but there was something that made me decide I wasn't interested, and now I don't have the slightest recollection of what it was. :/

I'm pretty sure you went so far as to post reviews even. ::goes off to check:: Yes, as a matter of fact, in 2009, you sent me four reviews of Shattered Identity, going up to chapter 20. And you had a story alert on it.

When I deleted off Shattered Identity and reposted all the chapters as a part of Shattered Salvation, it lost your reviews, but I kept copies of them. (In case you had any doubts about how obsessively I adore comments from people ...)

In fact, I think I'm starting to sound like a psycho-author, so I'll shut up now.
