Title: Truth - a Muse Poll
Characters: A lot of them
Rating: PG
Warnings: None
Word count: ~200
Setting: Generally set in the later seasons
Summary: In search of the perfect “Truth” entry, I polled a number of muses to find their take on the subject.
Notes: Written for heroes_contest drabble challenge #34, “Truth”.

“What is truth?”

Angela: “A lie. A damned lie.”

Peter: “I don’t even know any more. I just know what I’ve seen and experienced … and even that’s questionable.”

Sylar: “Something I would have rather not known.”

Arthur: “It’s a product that we will make.”

Nathan: “Whatever’s polling well. Seriously, you’d be shocked at what people want to believe.”

Claire: “Something that needs to be told.”

Noah: “That’s best left up to the experts to decide. Could you come over here? There’s an exchange student from Haiti I’d like you to meet.”

Hiro: “Whatever is true is good, no matter how bad.”

Matt: “That’s the thing I change when I use my ability. It’s wrong. I don’t know why I didn’t see it to start with.”

Samson: “It’s something you think is fixed, part of an objective, verifiable reality. But the truth is that there is no verifiable reality.”

Adam: “That’s a funny little concept people cling to, thinking it will keep them safe when the end comes.”

Aubry: “Is that a trick question? Why are you wasting my time?”

Sandra: “I think there’s philosophers who have written stuff about that, but for my own life, truth is what I can trust.”

Lyle: “Uh … it’s something you can prove. Duh.”
