Okay, that was mesmerizing.
I kept thinking about the little mermaid story (specially now that Sunggyu's hair is red)... but this somehow strikes as more exciting dangerous.
The man is perfectly characterized for his role.
I must be some kind of sadist but I liked when Gyu couldn't speak, it was...sexy.
The overall atmosphere is spot on and the images kept flowing into my mind. Lovingly visual.

Good job. Let's hope didn't really happen lol.

This was really mesmerizing. and so well written. I could feel all of the emotions and just aksjdfoiasdf wow. and as soon as I read the part about church I was like OMFG I KNOW WHO YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE HOLY SHIT WHAT DO I THINK BUT OMFG THIS IS SO GOOD.

hmm, that would be an interesting direction to pursue, i hadn't considered that possibility! because yes, to me it's the kind of deal that seems easy on the surface, almost like getting it for free (and i think i could have written it more as more obviously horrible but oh well), but once you break it down you realize just how deep the consequences go.

reading this, i got a really fairy tale-y vibe from it: not the saccharine disney feel, but a brothers' grimm/hans christian andersen one in the way that it's straightforward and unfussy, yet unsettling. i think your prose works really well with setting the story. and like the another commenter has mentioned, this reminded me of the little mermaid and how it would make for a really interesting alternate reality. i only wish it were longer!

thank you! ooh, i like the idea of reading this as a fairy tale. looking back at it it has that kind of symbolic aspect, for sure.

there's definitely a lot of possibility in a world where this has happened. (just think of what it would mean for/with his solo!!) unfortunately i ran out of steam with this part, but it'd be interesting to follow up in future!
