In truth I am not a real fan of animation, but I do watch some of it. Cinderella and Snow White blew me over when I was a tot. French director François Truffaut used to say that he hated animation and got quickly bored with watching any film where you couldn't see real people.
That's awesome. I skipped class sophomore year to go see Yo-Yo Ma and several members of the Silk Road Orchestra at the Borders in Downtown Crossing. Had I done otherwise I probably would have regretted it forever.
When I got there, I was kind of disappointed to not only be standing farther back from the stage than I would have liked, but to be what looked like the youngest person in attendance. And then, without warning, a door opens behind me and there he is, cello in hand. Good times.
Being that I am a fan of animation, I feel like not having seen the film in question is kind of a disgrace. I should get on that.
What better reason to skip class! As I wrote, I've seen Yo-Yo Ma several times, usually with the Boston Symphony Orchestra. This morning I've been playing every recording of his that I can find in my music collection. Cheers.

"Be sure never to wash that foot again."
Oh, I never wash my feet.
