Wow, that brings back memories. The Fred Flintstone ads, the building downtown ... it even evokes memories of Hospital Trust Bank, which met the same fate.

As I recall, one of those banks - I think Old Stone - had its name carved in stone on the bank's HQ, above the main entrance ... did they ever remove that?

I don't know. I'm supposed to do a downtown walk on Friday with a history-of-downtown-buildings enthusiast and can check it out.
