You look like Gilligan and the Skipper rolled into one unhappy Italian.

Actually, I think he resembles Mr. Rogers...at least from that angle...all you need now is the set -- you already have the imagination....

I was only Dino in my OTS Air Force dorm. Sometime soon, when we have our post-Nipponese breakfast or lunch together, I'll tell you what I was really called by my mom...and I don't mean my birth certificate name.

I already know that. You've told us like twice and always seem to forget. I won't post it here so as to keep it a secret.

But I said "I don't mean my birth certificate name." I know I told you folks that. I haven't forgotten that at all. It's Gelardino...a variation on Gerardino...piccolo Gerardo. San Gerardo Maiella was a saint my mother liked, and I was named after him. During my seminary days I once gave her an Italian book on his life to read, which she did. What I meant was what she called me every day, her nickname for me, and you do not know that.

Regarding Gelardino, you can see in my posting of today my grandfather Antonio Colacone's reference to me by that name in a section of a letter I scanned. It's going up in a few seconds. I may at some point post my actual birth certificate. I had to use that in the Air Force because you had to use the exact name that appeared on your birth certificate, unless there was a legal change. Now let's get your own history and recollections!
