Inglourious Basterds

I caught Quentin Tarantino's controversial new film Inglourious Basterds yesterday and liked it tremendously. I haven't seen such an exciting, riveting, and outrageous movie in a long time. This is true. It is not for everyone's taste, but the audience I was with loved it and applauded it at the end. The better critics, including the New York Times one and Roger Ebert praised it. Christopher Waltz got the best actor award at Cannes. I want to see it again. It's a virtuoso piece of filmmaking. You'll have to read a lot of subtitles for the German and French dialog. When three Americans try to speak Italian in one scene, it comes out pretty bad and is hilarious.

BTW, happy house-hunting and wedding plans!
