Anise- Anise!! [Even knowing there was nothing he could do, Ion still ran to the kitchen as fast as he could. Sure enough, all that remained was a mess on the floor and an unfinished cake on the counter.]

[He stared down at the broken bowl for a moment before uttering a small sigh and kneeling down to pick up the scattered silverware and glass shards.]

[Damn it. Dist wasn't home - he was gatting some stuff to repair Guy's fonmachine with and reworking Tokunaga's blueprints - but heard her little announcement over his journal just the same. He couldn't help but feel it was half his fault, for taking away her only defense to examine. Dist muttered a soft curse under his breath and shut his journal stiffly.]
