[It's a faint, early morning that finds Anise (finally) back in Luceti. Looks like the Malnosso put her back right where they snatched her - in the forest area behind House 1, right near the entrance of the tunnel that she had been headed for

[Simon was just heading over to finish up his work on the tunnel covers, and a pigtailed head in the middle of the snow is pretty visible, so he immediately picks up the pace, rushing over to her.]

Anise! Are you okay!?

[galddigger]

[She looks up, kind of surprised. She's kind of dazed, having just arrived, but she does smile when Simon rushes right over.]

Hi, Simon. I'm back...!

[dawndigger]

[She doesn't look so good... though considering where she's been all this time, it's no wonder. He drops to his knees beside her and pulls off his jacket, setting it over her shoulders.]

I'm glad you're back. We should get you inside, though! Um... can you walk?

[galddigger]

I'm glad too-! Was I gone really long...?

[And she gratefully takes that jacket. It really is freezing.] I think so? I'm just-- kind of tired. I'll be okay.

[markofthewise]

[House 1? Why that's right in Sokka's backyard. Except it's someone else's backyard, but when has vague property rights ever stopped him from exploring? He'll be walking along shortly doing the all important duty of picking his teeth with the tip of a small knife.]

[galddigger]

[She doesn't even notice him pass by, though normally she would. House 1 is sort of removed from the rest of the village, after all.]

[Sokka doesn't see her either until he's just about on top of her, because he was too busy looking up at the trees. He's given up hunting since he's been in Luceti, but he hasn't lost his instinct for spotting meat. He's a few steps from trampling over her when his peripheral vision spots what definitively does not look like shrubs or snow. Sokka immediately stops himself from going any further, throws off his momentum entirely, waves his arms forward to keep from falling, and ends up falling backwards. His knife flies out of his hands and flies into the air and lands safely mere inches beside his face.]

Oww.

[galddigger]

[Man, Sokka. You're such a klutz. Enough of one for that fail to catch her attention, anyway.]

[She can't stand up just yet, so she'll just sit up straighter and call over --]

H-hey! Are you okay?

[Action]

[If she needs a coat, she'll get one, as Locke takes off his own to throw it around her and pull it tightly shut to give her as much warmth as possible. House 1 isn't too far from 44, and he's out prowling like he does some days.]

You had us worried, you know.

[She shivers, and pulls that coat closer when she sees who it's from.]

Sorry. But I'm back, now!

You better stay back, got it? [But he'll bely the rather stern (for him) tone of voice by kneeling down to pull her in for a hug.] We all worry too much otherwise.

Tell that to the Malnosso, they're the ones who-- [Oh, huggings! Anise freezes - no pun intended - before hugging tightly right back. She was with those mad scientists for too long.]

Peony knocks on Anise's door.]

[galddigger]

[She'd been sleeping for some time now, so she's awake when he knocks.]

Come in!

[enrappigtured]

[He opens the door quietly, peeking in.]

Did I wake you?

[galddigger]

[she shakes her head.]

I was already up, Your Majesty. It's okay.

[moar later]

[knocking lightly on her bedroom door]

[And she's still awake! Though since His Majesty was just here, there's only one other person that could be. Since the Colonel's kind of MIA.]

Um - the door's unlocked, Nephry!

I know. But if you were asleep, I didn't want to wake you.
