[It's some time in the evening that a little girl - dressed in the customary white dress exclusive to New Feathers - walks into town, journal in hand. She speaks, but seemingly hasn't realized that the journal is recording.]

Oh, finally! Maybe someone here'll tell me where I am and how I can find Luke and the others. Geez, been all over the world

Why was he living with Sync in the first place? Was Sync even looking after him?

- What do you mean he's missing...? Did he run away?

Slow down. [Guy holds up his hands.] Look, I didn't think it was a brilliant idea either, but Florian seemed very excited about it. I...well, spied on them a few times, but Sync was actually looking after Florian, and nothing was going on.

But for a while, I haven't seen Sync around. I was going to see what we could do about coaxing Florian to move in with Asch, Luke and I instead of waiting there for Sync to get back.

Oh... I see. It's weird for Sync to do that, though.

But yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Florian said something about getting lost in the woods - for three whole weeks! He's a lot like Ion, except maybe even worse. [Anise sighs]

...I don't know if that's...true. If he'd gotten lost in the woods for three weeks...

I mean, he'd have died, Anise. I'm beginning to wonder if something happened.

But - he seems okay? He couldn't have just died, he's still here! What else could've happened...? [Yeah, she probably missed the sections of the guide that really matter.]

First of all...people come back here, Anise. Not everyone stays dead. I don't know if that's what happened to Florian-

...he might've been kidnapped, then blocked it out. Or they might've modified his memories.

... Or they kidnapped him. So these Malnosso people kidnapped us so they can kidnap us some more?

I really don't care what they'd think; you're welcome to stay, Anise, and if you feel like staying with us on a more permanent basis, then we'll look for some place larger. Honestly, I'd feel better if we were all under the same roof.

But first - can we find my clothes? And Tokunaga, too, right? Luke said they'd be here.

Yup. [Guy had been leading her towards the shops, though he hadn't said as much. He gestures to one about a block down.]

That one's the clothing shop. If your clothes aren't in there -they should be- then you'll be able to find something better than what you've got on now.

[She nods, and walks on ahead.]

All right. Do I just - go in and take whatever? There really isn't any money around here?

[Guy laughs; Anise is really stuck on this money thing, though he supposed he couldn't blame her.] Yeah, it's fine. I'll go in with you, trust me.

It's still really weird, though! And why are shops even open at this time of the night, anyway?

[She pretty much bounds into the store, and starts looking through the racks for her clothes.]

There aren't even any shopkeepers-! Though I guess that makes sense, if everything's free.
