funny thing about that last comment. the director of Toi Whakaari was in SA today giving a speech at our school about Toi and what it is and what actors go through to be there...it's part of this big symposium of sister schools...and we sang Wananga Tapu E (our version of Toi's School Song) for her...she did a karanga (traditional call of welcome) for us...and then she presented. With clips from the 10-part series about last years first year actors. including myself.

i was caught so off guard. i started crying immediately. I miss it so much.

I've sung a karanga before. Do you think you'll go back? I think it's so awesome that you had such a beautiful, meaningful experience there.
