The difference between try and triumph is a little umph.

The past few days have seemed like a whirlwind to me, a kaleidoscope of both incredible and terrifying moments all melding into a seamless dream. All I know it Saturday I was walking on a cloud of happiness, not only amazed that someone thought enough of me to invite me to the dance but also surprised because someone I was worried over had ( Read more... )

I'm glad to know you're so flattered. It was a lot harder for me to ask than it should have been.

The damned ants aren't even here yet and already I'm tired of them. I at least am happy that we have enough warning to get everyone to safety first and make sure they're cared for while we're hiding; I can't imagine trying to get so many people down to the Wilderness if they'd shown up unexpectedly like the zombies...

It was both unexpected and very well executed.

Zombies? All this talk of attacks is giving me one of those odd headaches like I should know something but I don't. Regardless, please keep yourself safe, I would be most dismayed if some ant were to make you incapable of dancing with me.

I figured that being polite but direct was the best way to go. Good to see that it was effective.

Yeah, THAT happened about two months after I arrived. They came out of nowhere, AND in the middle of the night. It was bedlam and took about a day for everyone to scramble downstairs- including moving the cocoons and patients at Medical Island all at once. Luckily the Wilderness turned into Las Vegas- if you don't know where that is, basically a huge city with luxurious casinos and hotels and restaurants- so everyone was able to have fun.

Of course. I'm about to go take a rest, actually- Captain Bastet's orders. She pointed out that if she DIDN'T tell me to take care of myself, I'd probably forget. Sometimes the truth hurts.

It was, and believe me when I saw you had very slim competition, if any.

That sounds incredibly frightening. It seems amazing you were all able to survive, and keep things somewhat functional. I am unaware of what Las Vegas is but it sounds exciting, and if everyone was able to have fun than it seems like a good trade off for zombies or whatever else you were dealing with at the time. It seems you're good to stick around in a crisis-situation.

You should definitely rest then, if your Captain is ordering you. Captain's typically know best.
