It would be a pity to wreck it in an attempt to get through the plate. You should make sure it really can get through it before trying to fly.

Immaterial. It can be rebuilt if damaged.

Trying something has no innate worth. All things are worthless. It takes less time to not do things.

It's simple enough to ensure success.
