Well, for mine, I have to take it up to Walmart. Pay $3 to load it, or, if I'm cashing a check there, pay $3 to cash the check and the loading is free. It didn't come with a pamphlet or anything?

I found it much easier to just get a saving account that had a card attached to it. The most you have to keep in there is a couple of bucks.

uh... well i have a debit card already, but i don't want to use it online for safety purposes really... this way i can keep all my money on that one

and just put it onto this card when i want to get stuff online

They both have your information on it so I don't really see how it's safer. Unless this somehow has less information attached to it?
