[Frowning a bit distractedly as he looks down at his cellphone and climbs the hill, carrying a picnic basket. Antonio's supposed to be meeting his friends here for a night picnic, but he can't seem to find them]
Now where did those two wander off to...
[Instead, Antonio finds Alfred and it makes him blink when he spies the cooler]
;A; Who can hate Alfred? Also, Happy 4th of July! :DdogsnwurstJuly 6 2010, 02:41:45 UTC
[Ludwig maaaay have a slight tendency to gravitate towards beer. Maybe kinda sorta.
In any case, the German is enjoying the peace and quiet himself --at least, with his boyfriend off dancing around a bon fire and his brother... somewhere. Ludwig almost didn't want to know]
[Arthuria got out of the party by the beach before Alfred saw her. She knew she'd just end up giving him some bruises if she had stayed. That, and...that all she had for a birthday gift was a sea shell.]
[Aimlessly wandering uphill, muttering self-reproaches and arguing with herself, she stops suddenly as she finds Alfred only a few feet away.] Damn...
[She slowly takes a step back, and *SNAP* goes a twig.]
[Alfred saw her making her way up the hill with this strange expression on her face, which he wants to call conflicted, and he turned away when she got closer, so he could pretend to be cool by surprising her. He watched (the blob) her through the distorted reflection on the items near him, until the moment the silence was broken by the breaking of the small branch.]
[Is this the moment he yells 'Halt! Who goes there?!' to amuse himself, and annoy her? Or should he take a normal approach, and just surprise her a little.]
Did something happen at the party, Arthuria? [Her name is easy for him to remember...]
[She's kind of shocked, but she gets this strange feeling that he isn't very surprised to see her. Unless he's just calm like that.]
Wha- Why would you ask that? Nothing happened! [It's true, which could actually be the problem.] In the first place, shouldn't you be down there yourself?
Should I be? [Sips his beer, to find better words to answer her.] I think they can handle this party on their own.
[Alfred turns his gaze to look at the student.] But if you didn't enjoy it, you can stay here and watch the stars with me. [Maybe at least one of the students won't hate him.]

[He notices someone climbing the hill, and recognizes the young as the Mexican.]
Antonio, right? Are ya old enough? [Shows him the can of beer, dripping with water from the melted ice in the cooler.]

[A playful smile plays along his lips as he quirks an eyebrow and asks] Are you old enough, Alfred?

[Picks the tab, opens his can, and takes a few gulps of Dale’s Pale Ale. Not Schlitz today! (But he's still just a teacher.)] 'Course I am.
[He gestures to the picnic basket.] Meeting someone?

Alfred? Do you mind if I join you?

[Alfred doesn't mind having company. It's better to have someone to drink and get drunk with. They could laugh at each other later too.]

[He looks from the can to Alfred and back to the can, completely surprised] You don't mind?

Germans love to drink, right? [Grins] We'll make this our secret.

[Well, damn. This means he should stop drinking.]
