Oshitari hummed thoughtfully at the end of her exceptionally stilted introduction. He could accept that his family knew of his whereabouts because it did allow him some semblance of autonomy that he'd been wanting for some time. However, the entire situation left him curious as to how it would help him replenish his now-lacking stocking of bodice rippers. At least his sisters wouldn't steal them anymore... the mere thought that they were probably already going through his collection was worrisome.

Regardless, he knew he would have to make the best of the situation. Minazawa-sensei, despite her lack of time management skills, probably had ways to contact his parents should he become unruly. He smirked at the thought. No, he would wait until after he had gotten used to the place to cause any trouble.

That, to be quite clear, had to be absolutely the most ridiculous speech ever given. Atobe thought rather unkindly as he surveyed the people around him with a critical eye ( ... )

Oshitari mirrored the smirk with one of his own. "I would say the same for you," he said. "Except, Minazawa-sensei mentioned that we're here because we excel. Therefore it was inevitable that you would be here."

That didn't make the situation any less puzzling, but nonetheless it was good to have a familiar face. They could tackle this thing head on.

There were many other 'further questions' in his mind that Minazawa-san's announcement was far less than satisfactory, but Choutarou followed to the reception as the students were shown out the auditorium, by what looked like school staff, without making much of a fuss. His eyes, however, kept scanning around for more familiar faces. He noticed some of the tennis people, and some of his senpai as well, but no sign of Shishido-san. That was stressful because he was sure he had told him they would play that Monday. If he wasn't there then ... he didn't even want to think about it. Shishido-san would never know what happened ( ... )

After two minutes of Minazawa's speach, Kintarou had become bored. After five minutes, he wasn't even listening. Not until she mentioned tennis, then he perked up, hoping that she would elaborate a little. When that didn't happen, a clear pout settled on the redhead's face, and he sauntered over to the refreshment table with his arms behind his head. "I don't like this," he decleared to anyone who might be willing to listen. He ended up next to Choutarou - hey, this guy was familiar - and he pointed at whatever it was the taller boy was drinking. "What're ya havin'? Is it good?"

Choutarou, in any other situation, wouldn't have spotted Kintarou from a distance, especially now that he was taller, much taller, but he was distracted thinking about the situation they found themselves in.

"Tooyama-kun!" he looked at the redhead surprised he didn't have to look that low, then into his cup, "Mm, I'm not sure. Some fruit juice?.... But it's very watered down, like sports water. I think it's berry flavoured."

As soon as the lady had finished talking, Sanada made a beeline for the laptop and cell phone table. Something about her speech wasn't quite right. She was acting like it was an honour to be here, when they'd been kidnapped to ensure that they were here. And Sanada had never heard of the school and it's so-called 'excellent' tennis programme.

Surely, if it were as prestigious as she sugggested, Sanada would have heard something about it when applying to high schools? Though Rikkai had had an escalator system, his father had encouraged him to search for other options, though, Sanada had never taken that search seriously.

Mingling with other students here, could wait for now. Communication with his mother and grandfather was more imperative to him. He was the first in line but the table was unmanned, so Sanada made an impatient noise in the back of his throat and waited by the table, hat pulled firmly over his head. At least that hadn't been stolen from him like his sword.

Kenya immediately jolted over to the tables that carried the laptops and cellphones. Thank goodness! Kenya was worried he would never see another cellphone or laptop ever again. First thing he wanted to do was to call his parents and ask them a ton of questions. Something in the back of his mind was telling him that he shouldn't fully trust Minazawa but for now, he was much more worried about the well-being of his family.

While Kenya was slipping his cellphone into his pants pocket, he happened to notice a familiar black hat. Upon closer inspection, it was the vice captain of Rikkai. "Rikkai's Sanada?" He asked. "Man, you were one of the last people I expected to get kidnapped."

Sanada was started out of his pensive reverie when he heard his name. A shorter boy with spiky blonde hair...name was something with an O....right! "Shitenhouji's Oshitari?" he asked. "And if you are talking about the kidnapping, I will say that it is rather difficult to defend yourself when you are asleep." he said, dryly, as he adjusted his hat.

Needing a breather, Ryoma escaped to the outside, carrying the computer he was issued. Finding a spot to sit under a tree near the auditorium, he flopped down and sighed.

This sucked. He missed Karupin. It helped a little that there were so many familiar faces, but at the same time it reminded him of back when he liked his life. That year he spent at Seigaku had been the best of his life. The only time when he'd been happy that hadn't been tainted later on. It was a pure memory of better times and he wanted to keep it that way. Being around all these people all the time was going to ruin that one peaceful place he had to run away to in his mind.

"Fuck..." He mumbled in English and pulled out his phone to try in a futile attempt to contact his mom or dad.

(ooc: You might this guy jumping in? Think he's in the same boat as poor Echizen!)

As soon as Shinji was able he was out of there, out of the building, out into the open air where he could finally feel like he could breath again. He thought he'd done a very good job of keeping it together, all things considered. But more than ever he was wishing he weren't there right then. He wanted to be home. And that was an odd feeling since when he was home all he would dream about was getting the hell out of there.

It was a strange situation he found himself in.

He walked, aimlessly at first, until he noticed a lone figure sat under a tree. For a moment he hesitated, not wanting to intrude. For all he knew the guy was over there to get some peace just like he was, and didn't want the company. If that was the case all the guy needed to say was get lost and Shinji would move on. So he approached, only to find it was Echizen again. It almost made him laugh.

( ooc: I never mind :Db <3 )

Ryoma looked up when he felt someone near by and relaxed when he saw it was just Shinji, "Hey..." He mumbled and gestured to the ground with his eyes, "Pull up some grass if you want." Maybe a bit of calm company would do him some good. He had always liked Shinji, even if he was a bit weird.
