So, my last post here (and watching Dan and Phil play) made me want to play the Sims again, so I did! But, for like an hour, and then I had to go to the store with Jer

Sometimes you just have to cut ties. I get bored after a few generations. I just don't feel that connection anymore.

One thing that I find kinda weird is that, like, if your family is all financially secure (mine is sitting on $2m+ right now), it gets kinda...boring. Because, like, you don't have furniture upgrades and things to work towards. Meanwhile, in real life, that would be AMAZING.

I totally have to wander off from a fam for a while before I can just let them go. I get attached and it's like 'but they were working on this one thing...D:' And, man alive, I haaaate sending people out in the world without completing their lifetime wish. You know they ain't gonna do that shit on their own.

At least you'll be sending a cat with them? Also they'll have a nice peaceful cottage all to themselves, well and the cat.

I like to think that their new place turned out nice. She's got max gardening skill, so I popped into the buy debug menu to make sure she had some plants to love on and all. And, hey, can't go wrong taking a cat with you, even if it isn't the Methuselah cat.
