( I don't understand why Cupid was chosen to represent Valentine's Day. When I think about romance, the last thing on my mind is a short, chubby toddler coming at me with a weapon. )

Yeah, that's where I fell in love with this story. This is just so them and argh. You write so well. I wanna buy Gert a Valentine's Day card, even though she'd hate it.

She would, and Chase would call it gay, but at the same time I could see them exploiting the holiday by being anti-sappy yet completely invested in each other as teenagers are wont to do.
