So I have returned to the states after 6 months living abroad (only about 2 of those were in the field though) and after consuming my body weight in soy products, gorging myself on missed TV, and redefining my conception of personal space to include at least another foot, I wrote this fic ( Read more... )

Wow. What a look into Elizabeth's thoughts. Man. I must admit that whole ep just gave me the creeps and this fic really kicks it home for me. Great job, thanks for sharing it!

Thanks! It gave me the creeps too. There were funny moments, but I wasn't really amused by the episode as much as I know I was supposed to be.

Lucius has made everything better

The nearly wistful way Elizabeth thinks this is actually pretty creepy and very effective.

So glad I clicked on this, because it's the only fic I've read so far that really touches on aftermath of that episode's nastier implications. I hope that on the show, no one on Atlantis actually slept with Lucius - though they were all violated enough as it was - since the writers clearly aren't prepared to deal with it seriously. But this is a great look into Elizabeth. It's creepy but not over the top. Very nicely done.

Thanks! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. I agree with you that I don't think the writers were prepared to deal with the full implicatons of that ep, but I also felt that the way Elizabeth was behaving towards Lucius and the way he seemed around her (and his notable lack of ethics in that department), there's no way they wouldn't sleep together.
