Awesome new bike! I'd want one like it if I didn't already have my own. Your headlight is cooler anyway. You bought it from the best bike shop in town too! Yeah!
Anyhow, I yelled at your doppelgänger today. She was talking to three people at the old Art Building. I yelled and when she didn't respond, I deduced that I'm somewhat nearsighted and it could be someone who just sorta looks like you.
your new bike looks awesome! and it looks like you got some really nice saddle bags- were they expensive? i need to get a helmet- tsk tsk. have you been able to ride your bike yet? hope it runs comfortably and smoothly.
the potatoes in the tires look like so much fun. sadly, i'm pretty sure we wouldn't be allowed to do something like that around here (at least where it would be visible to others) because of ridiculous code enforcement. however, we are going to be growing strawberries in a tractor tire in the backyard since they can't see back there anyways. right now we are just trying to figure out what we want to use to cover the edges of the tire so that none of the leaves or fruit touch the rubber (which could be bad), maybe mulch or some sort of plastic sheets.
I can't remember how much the bags were themselves, but I spent $700 all together for the bike. That includes helmet and a bike shirt and the bags and lights and water bottle and tire pump and patch kit and lock and all that good stuff. It was money that I had saved from when I sold my car. It rides beautifully, esp since I'm used to riding an old mountain bike on the roads. Whew... so much nicer!
I think strawberries in a tractor tire sounds wonderful! I love makeshift garden stuff. It's art.
