disclaimer: i am SHITTY at committing. and really really BAD at sticking to plans. i need to work on this. i am hoping by getting a 3-month jumpstart on it, attempts at plans might actually work

I'd suggest coming here, since I'd like that. Is New York itself interesting? I don't know that.
Also, I'm getting very used to friends saying they'll come over and then they don't, so that's a plus for you.

of anywhere i'd be likely to go, it's actually pretty reasonable as far as distance and cost are concerned. new york is a popular destination for the student travel group we have here. they have discounts!

i think overseas might be out of my budget unfortunately... =/ plus, your program might have rules about visitors early in your stay- mine wouldn't allow me friends or family visits until the second half of my stay.

i was gonna suggest something but it seems like the consensus is New York. Perhaps I should follow the "if you can't beat them..." mentality and book a flight. =)

Weekends are best for me and I'll probably only be able to come of a long weekend anyway. the 14th-17th or there abouts?
