Hershey sounds adorable! And I love Gibbs being concerned enough about Abby to follow her - his reaction, too, to Joey asking her out was great!

(And I giggled a lot at the thought of Abby dealing with Joey using Hershey as an excuse to get her there. She'd certainly let him have it!)

I let a non-participant read it to give me feedback and they asked me a question I got a kick out of answering. The exchange went something like this:

She: But what prompted Gibbs to ask Abby out now? I mean, I just don't understand why he picked this moment.

Me: I'm sorry. I always assume others share my perspective. In my shipper mind, both Gibbs and Abby live every moment on the verge of telling the other how they feel. Didn't seem the least bit off to me.

I love how much of an animal advocate Abby is. And Hershey is actually based off an animal I met while on my vacation.

I wish I could have seen Abby chew that guy out - how epic! :D I love that Gibbs was nervous. If he were ever nervous, it would be at that moment!

Yeah, the chewing out would have been fun, but I wanted to focus on Gibbs outside wondering what she was up to. Awkward!Gibbs does not come around often. Not his style. :)

Gibbs following Abby was delightful, his timing impeccable! Hershey is a great character - I could see Gibbs and Abby having a dog when they get their cabin on the beach some day... Ooops - that's a different story...

I actually based Hershey on a dog I met on vacation with my hubby back in February. I hope I did him justice.
