So fantastic, so well-thought out and planned. I love how the events of the episode slotted in but didn't take away from the universe you've created and I love how you had Gibbs & Abby brought together and her fitting into his life and world and it was just beautiful.

Seriously. A real contender for one of my favourite NCIS stories *ever*.

Seriously? Did you read a different version or something? I'm flattered, but this whole thing has been a serious ball of stress in my life the past few weeks. I don't know why, but like I said when I e-mailed you about it, the whole AU bit realllllly threw me off. I have no idea why. Maybe it just threw me out of my comfort zone as far as writing... and that's what made me feel so uncomfortable with this fic.

But I'm really glad that you enjoyed it, I was worried that people would skip over it (esp. with the length).

so this story wasnt written for me but it was everything i could have ever wanted in a AU gabby story! Amazing! i actually got teary eyed!

The AU bit may have thrown you off, but it certainly doesn't feel like it in the end result.

Well thank you! It really was a jolt from my comfort level, but I guess that's a good thing and good practice for my writing. One of these days I'd like to write an original story, but.... I keep getting the Gabby plot bunnies and I just can't help myself!!

Ok, seriously, stress be damned, I think you pulled off an AMAZING story! Your storytelling skills shine through yet again, and I just LOVE that you write such long stories. :P So many Gabby fics out there are one-shots that don't build up their progression to couple-y goodness in a realistic way, so I'm just uber-ecstatic that you're one of the few authors that writes sagas, LOL!

Such a confidence boost that people are enjoying it. Sometimes I just want to get an idea out and I'll sit down only to write a one-shot, but more and more lately, I've got problems with being able to write short fics... like, they snowball out of control.

I'm so so sorry that this was a stressful experience for you. It didn't come forth in the story at all.

This is such an incredible story. I started reading it last night, *had* to get to bed (at 4:30 am no less!) and restarted it today to savor it. Every element that I'd asked for was just perfect. This is such a beautiful story and one I'll read and reread again and again.

It was certainly good for me as a writer to step out of my comfort zone, but I'm glad my 'omg, wtf am I doing?' didn't come out in the fic.

A whole new respect for people, like yourself, who write AU fics!
