Can I second the rec on bluflamingo. Two absolutely fabulous stories in an amazing AU. All of her writing is gorgeous. These two particularly touch my heart.

Really enjoyed bluflamingo's fics, thanks! Love how she contrasts Mitchell's natural exuberence with Sheppard's reticence and confusion, really nicely done fic.
