Well, I don't have any facial hair myself (except for the usual traces of postmenopausal mustache), and I don't have very much preference either way about facial hair on other people, although I'm very slightly biased towards "clean-shaven". But I absolutely do not believe that you'd be ugly if you shaved off your beard! I can see enough of the bone structure of your face to know that you don't have a ridiculously receding chin, and you probably don't have a turkey-wattle neck either. (Maybe someday you might shave off your beard, just as an experiment. If you don't like the way it looks, you can always grow it back.)

Miss notes? Horrors!
It was just meant as a "thought experiment" - I've known men with beards who actually don't remember what they looked like without the facial fur, and at least one of them did shave it off just to see, then let it grow out again. And, of course, Gaffer's face is his own, to do whatever he wants with. (Without the beard, I think he'd look quite sensitive and soulful, and about nineteen years old...)
Haven't had a chance to listen - I'm coffeeshopping for my signal nowadays, and so actual online time is limited, but it's here, and I have it, and shall partake this evening, after I'm back from playing Bella Vista (it's an Alzheimer's Facility near CU Campus, I play at 3-ish). Very lovely folks, and the Coordinator, Robin, has worked with me in two different places now, and likes my work.
Your addition above has helped me maintain my equanimity today. Thanks.
Yes Razors are sharp, in my humble opinion tho they are necessary evils. Like a pruning shear for a rose bush. I'm of a mind that my beard will never get that long. Who knows tho, if one day I manage to become well off enough that working for someone else isn't important I may go tribal!
Oh, my -- new to the LJ for you, dear. Might I have some of the earliest photos of you of your friends list? If so, I might have to scan and share some. I just found the photos of MY WEDDING -- and that will be 20 years ago in June. (Can you believe it?)
Love you -- I probably have seen you with less beard, less hair, and more hair than many here... And I guess (trying to do math *SHUDDER*) that we will have known each other for 22 years come August 2010... Wow!

That thought has on occasion caused him to MISS NOTES.

His face is his to do as he wishes.
But the idea of him missing notes? We'll say no more about it.
I will admit that I feel like the drummer in ZZ Top around him.

Scissors are a different beast than razors.
