Eep - I feel terrible that I hadn't commented on this.
I love it.
Your play on who Daniel was is interesting and I find myself very curious as to why Gaeta was being kept alive in the basestar. Also curious as to his hostility towards the "halfbreeds".
Well, Daniel was kept alive by the same type of facility that kept Ellen Tigh alive after she uploaded in to a new body. I just thought, what if there was one body that had survived 1's tampering? Gaeta was definitely Daniel, and he would need a body. But, without the others there to reawaken him, he would be stuck on hold. That was how this whole thing came about
( ... )
So Daniel has Felix Gaeta's memories and essentially is Felix... but with the knowledge that he's a Cylon?
I am missing it with the halfbreeds I think - I assumed he was refering to the "humans" on the ship who are likely the descendents of of the Cylon/human breeding?
I could see projection loosely interpreted as a "pyschic" ability and so Spock could perhaps manipulate it. Do the STarfleeters see Felix as a cybernetic organism? Or as an anchient "human". I assume headSix and Head!Baltar could h ave downloaded into the basestar and perhaps into Spock during the touching sequence - since I think Felix and Spock did some sort of mind meld/telepathy thing there, which explains how Felix was speaking Vulcan :)
The humans are the halfbreeds, yes. They are of original Colonial human, Cylon, and the New Earth Cave People that the colonials mated with. That is what I meant by alien, they weren't from the colonies, but from an entirely different planet.
You missed it. Projection is just a delusion, it isn't real, they see it only in their heads. Daniel/Gaeta is new to this ability. That is how Spock can manipulate it, he has a stronger mind.
Since cylons can share information by connection with a wire or touching their cylon consoles, it was no stretch to think they can do the same thing with a touch telepath. It is basically the same idea. That is how Spock transferred knowledge to Gaeta.
Chip!Six and Head!Baltar are creations of 'God'. They exist even in modern times. And what are the qualifications of God? Omni-present, resurrection, invisible beings, foretell the future, make large coincidences, screw up canon.
