We have probed the earth, excavated it, burned it, ripped things from it, buried things in it, chopped down its forests, leveled its hills, muddied its waters, and dirtied its air. That does not fit my definition of a good tenant. If we were here on a month-to-month basis, we would have been evicted long ago

Wow! That was a smack of reality and so true. We should be ashamed of ourselves...

Instead we're dropping bombs, fracking mountains and building nuclear power plants. I can just imagine what our place in history will say about us, that is if we actually survive as a species...

Hopefully, history will say that this generation was the one that reversed our course, stopping our slide toward rendering our planet uninhabitable, starting our climb toward seeing beyond our individual needs to the planet as a whole.

My kid just turned 22, she's 'this' generation. I have little choice but to believe in her and her kind. Don't even get me started on my generation :)
