Stream of Consciousness, Epi 11.15

Gotta be honest, when I saw the previews for this one I was seriously wondering what they were thinking...but, as usual for this season, they surprised me.

The Ramble )

supernatural, ramble, episode review, what do you think?, stream of consciousness

I really had a hard time with this one.

I don't like professional wrestling and the fanboying was a bit embarrassing to watch. It will help to make some gifs but since you have those, I'll keep it for later. I would have loved to see some action. Boxing, true wrestling, some actual action. We haven't had any for forever.

I agree with all your points about the wrestler we thought was bad having a soul of steel and the one we thought was good, actually having made the terrible mistake of selling his soul for a title (for a week), I loved the first scene between the boys, and the last. I agree that Dean is even more discouraged than before, and that Sam is worried for him and trying to keep his spirits up.

Thank you for putting a good face on it - I enjoyed the read <3

I can't say that I loved the episode but I did really, really like it. I loved the layers and how the bad guy wrestler turned out to be sound in soul, while the good guy wrestler turned out to be severely tainted. Shades of grey. And of course Dean fanboying was awesome! Totally loved his enthusiasm, particularly in the athletic rolling onto the mat.
The only thing I didn't like was how easily Gunnar managed to overcome Dean. Gunnar's a pro wrestler but Dean's a pro hunter and should be king of the dirty tricks/ninja moves and yet he gets taken out so easily? I am sorely disappointed. I miss badass/demon!Dean.
And I had to look it up, but Dean's agent name was Roussimof which was Andre the Giant's real name :)

You make a good point -- one that I didn't even think of. I guess maybe he might have been set off b/c Gunnar was human and also had been a hero of his, so Dean didn't go to the "fight dirty" mode?

And Fezzik!! Of course! :)

That was a pretty darn adorable episode. But it was also sad to see Dean's heart get broken a bit again. I hate when he gets disappointed by people! As always Jensen was amazing. All the little touches are so captivating. How does he do it? And yes, only our guys would find attending a funeral a stress relief.

Regarding Crowley, yes I think he knew it was a double cross. He headed for the wrong box right away. So he is in the wind now. I do think he will try to touch base with the boys.

But as for this season, I really have no idea what they are going to do. That is kinda cool. I just hope that they continue with the boys being together in it. I am enjoying that so much!

I hope you're right -- I want to think this is true, too.

Thank you so much for always reading and commenting! :)

Having a family member as big time wrestling fan back in its hayday, this episode worked for me. Again, it was written as a mirror of image of the boys ( ... )

As for Crowley, yes he is a demon, but I never really thought of him as evil.

I'm with you -- until he goes and does something like killing Sarah Blake. Y'know? I mean, he CAN BE truly evil, but at the same time...he's like a reluctant ally. I'm never quite sure if I can settle on an assessment of him.

Finally, I also think it's going to take four people to take down the Darkness, as in four archangels

This is intriguing! I wonder if they'll figure out how to play that out this season, or if it will carry over into Season 12....
