You will never not be one of my favorite people. In fact, you've pretty much cemented your place in the top five, and you know that the hubs and Mo Chuisle reserve two of those spots, so.... :)

Great story. I'm waiting to get the show from my library, but I think I'm going to like it.

Thanks so much! What a compliment that you've read (and enjoyed) it before watching the show! I think you'll really like it. The actors are very easy on the eyes, the banter makes you smile, and the action is fun to watch.

Plus...they make me want to write!! HAHA!

Thanks for reading and leaving a comment.

I have read your Supernatural stories and rambles for years and have only commented a few times, but I thoroughly enjoy your writing each and every time. (And the fact that I, too, tend to gravitate to the character of Dean Winchester certainly seems to help me enjoy them even more.)

When I saw that you are now writing about The Musketeers, I think my heart palpitated just a bit because I absolutely love this show, too, and I knew you would create something remarkable, which you did. I adore these Musketeers stories. Please continue! You have a wonderful gift.

Thank you!
Roberta

Thank you so much, Roberta! I'm thrilled that you've enjoyed the Supernatural stories. You're right; my Dean-girl flag waves high in those stories. :)

I'm so pleased that you not only enjoy this fandom but have enjoyed these stories as well. Thank you for letting me know, and I hope you enjoy future ones that you choose to read.

My best,
Gaelic

Another winner! Great plotline, lots of action, lots of INteraction (esp. loved that tense scene with Aramis & Athos near the beginning), and little Luca was a welcome addition to the cast of characters. I really enjoyed how you wrote Porthos -- his scenes with d'Art were very rich and genuine. And my darling Aramis....his PTSD was off the charts! The panic and self-doubt were visceral....I had to read the chapters in small doses. (I just wish you'd had Athos be a bit more in-tune with his distress, instead of expecting poor Porthos to "fix" him alone.)

Eagerly awaiting the next grand adventure!!!

Hey - thank you so much! :) I'm so pleased you enjoyed this. I love writing these guys; it's an honest pleasure to be part of this fandom.

As for Athos noticing Aramis' stress, I actually really agree with you -- the story would have been better had Athos clued in to what was going on with Aramis rather than just noticing something was off. But, I had to keep in mind the opening scene in Episode 4 when they're standing at parade rest waiting for the Duke to arrive and Aramis is looking tense and troubled. Athos sees, asks Porthos what's the matter with Aramis, and Porthos has to remind him about Savoy.

If I'd written this story with him having remembered Savoy, that line wouldn't have made much sense. I was trying to keep it as in line with canon as I could.

Does that make sense?

Thank you again for reading and taking time to comment. Next adventure is on it's way. I actually have two in the works, one being a bit of a sequel to this one. :)

Take care!

I was so into the story I forgot that it was set between actual episodes. So, we can blame the scriptwriters for Athos' cluelessness!

Yay for future adventures. Hmmm, does this

"one being a bit of a sequel to this one. :)"

mean that we'll find out what happened to Aramis and Porthos after they left Athos & d'Artagnan?!

It's not as direct of a sequel. This one took place just before episode 4; the next one will take place just after episode 8.

I'll work on that one after I finish the one that's currently eating up my brain, called Reckoning.
