I love all the backstories. And you write such good H/C!

I'm pleased you thought this was even better than the previous one; I kinda felt so, too. I was getting my legs under me with the first one and felt much more confident about this. Thanks again for taking time to read!

I loved the meaty and detailed plot, all the h/c, and the brotherhood and protectiveness of all the men. I liked too how you handled their humour, it felt very befitting of the show, especially the ending.
The character explorations were wonderful too.
Thank you for sharing! Take care :)

I'm also quite thrilled you enjoyed this one, and if I should write another and you choose to read, I hope you enjoy that, too. :)

I just read both your Musketeers fics in the past few days & loved both of them. As always, I think you've done a great job with the characters & their personalities, & the story plots were intriguing! I finished watching the series earlier this month & got the DVD set too, so I am officially hooked on the Musketeers!

I've completed a 3rd Musketeers story, Broken Places, and have it posted as of yesterday. If you're interested, I'd love to hear what you think. :)

I did feel like I'd missed some important backstory, particularly in the one that takes place after season one, and a little bit in the chronologically first one, but I don't see how you could have done anything about that.
That being said, I certainly enjoyed the characterizations, and getting to see through each of the characters' eyes gave me an excellent feel for their interaction.
You really like to hurt your protagonists, don't you, though!

It's the bane of the fanfic writer, I think -- we have to write assuming that one is familiar with the characters else we risk boring those who are by retreading familiar territory. But I'm glad you were still able to enjoy the stories.
And, yes, I do enjoy the hurt factor. *laugh* But, as someone who has read and written SPN h/c, that should come as no surprise. ;)
