It's actually a mashup of "Henry IV, Part 1" and "Henry IV, Part 2" with the accent on Falstaff.
When Hanks was an intern at Great Lakes, Holly was also an intern. We saw all the productions over the two summers they were there and Tom Hanks went from playing servants the first year, to starring in "Two Gentlemen of Verona" the next year, so he made a lot of progress in a short period of time. After that he went to Hollywood.
He comes back to Cleveland regularly to do fundraisers for the theater festival. He and Holly, who also lives in L.A., are pretty tight.
Thanks for sharing the photos. Lucky Holly to see him in Falstaff and to have the friendship throughout the years. I didn't know Tom Hanks did any Shakespeare. Quite a change from his role in Big. I loved him in that and so many of his movies.
I hope you and Mr. Dave are doing well and feeling well. I'm not on fb so don't know what you posted there. Any recent updates from Alyssa? I guess she's moved on from the archeological dig by now.

I've never seen or read Falstaff. Did you enjoy it? Any caveats? FanSee
