This story was my favorite. I'm happy to read it. (Three times the whole story.) I really liked. Thank you very much.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

One more and that's it!

Sorry ... give me a minute ... I'm still chuckling over the last line. So Brian. There's "to the point" and there's just pointed. Brian doesn't even bother with the "to the" bit. Oh, I can't begin to tell you the joy I feel that Brian is in such a good place and yet is still so very Brian.

Thanks, Gael.

Thank YOU!

If I'm going out, I wanted to go out NOT with a whimper.

Brian will always be Brian -- at least I'm trying to make him
the Brianest I can.

Brian & thé Outlaws is not a bad name for a band. I can visualize the tee.

Snowfell St. Mary is another wonderful name. You have a great name generator.

Love this chapter. I’ve missed Garrett and the hounds.

A hug and a firing, all in the same chapter! Seriously, if you have to go, you’re going in style.

Ha!

I wanted a name that sounded like an Agatha Christie mystery. I can
see Garrett becoming a sleuth in a cozy British mystery series!

Couldn't forget the dogs!

Yes, in another world, maybe Brian and Garrett could have had a
relationship, but in the long run I think they are too different. Justin
is a stronger and better partner for Brian, someone who can call him
on his bullshit. Ron was the same way.

I hope to post the final chapter, 146, an epilogue of sorts, next week.

That said, this might be the end of the line for my long and fruitful fan fiction
career. While my die-hards are still with me, I don't really see new readers
or new commenters and that makes it hard to gauge whether the story
is getting out there. I've been posting "Bell, Book & Candle" on AO3,
but the format really doesn't have that community feel that I have loved
on Live Journal. That, and the fact that my teaching duties are greater
now -- and my health has been crummy for the past year. It's just more
difficult.

I've long wanted to write a sequel to "Bell, Book & Candle," but I can't see
that the audience is there for it. It would take a lot of time and energy and
I don't know if I have that at this point.

You thoughts would be welcome.

Absolutely I would read it. I've always wondered what happened after the end of the movie, and I'd love to see that explored BJ style.

I know what you mean about the relatively impersonal interactions of AO3. It's okay, but it's not the same as the old LJ days.

That was such an amazing time to be a fan and to be online - the discussion groups, and then LJ ... nothing has been quite the same since.

I hope you do go on writing, but will absolutely understand if you don't. You've certainly given the fandom some of its classics.

In any case, I'll look forward to the Epilogue. Meanwhile, take care of yourself and enjoy the summer.

I hate to sound like someone longing for the glory days, but…

That said, I still have my core group here and I'll always leave
this LJ open for people to come and read and, I hope, comment.

I'm not discounting it. I just need to find the time to do it --
and I want to do it the right way!

Thanks!
