Justin was not religious or superstitious, but he did believe in one particular thing - that he and Brian were destined to be together. And they would be. He was certain of that. Just like 90% of the QaF fandom.
Justin is between a rock and hard place now and he really doesn't handle pressure very well, then he leaves. Brian is getting deeper into turbulent waters and Cynthia is the lifeguard blowing the whistle. Only no one is listening to her.
You weren't kidding about things getting complicated.
I sure hope you are happy with yourself. You have created another story that is so addicting and character driven, that I do a happy seat dance every time I see a new update.
Justin, Justin, Justin, he sure has some thinking to do. In any other universe, a long lost loft weekend with Brian would seem like a no-brainer. Now, it just seems like a burden.
It is hard to say just what Brian and Justin are doing and what it all really means. One of them is trying to recreate the past, while the other one is trying to ignore it. I think Cynthia is right, one of them is going to get hurt. The question is which one.
P.S. It might be time for Robbie to look for a new place to live.
Justin needs to tell Brian to fuck off. They both need to put the past to rest and move on. Perhaps get some answers, but they really aren't all that compatible.
Justin has it good with Robbie and should build on that.
Brian needs back off on fuck buddies, trick or use his hand to get his needs met, keep seeing Dr. Alex and learn to live. If love is meant to happen it will happen.
Brian's long-stored pent up anger is starting to come out. Justin still wants his cake and to eat it too and is being pushed into a corner. As far as Cynthia is concerned the B/J ship has sailed a long time ago and sunk, never to be dredged up again. She's also perceptive as always, and right about the professional aspect.

Complications and problems, indeed.

beginning. She also sees how they've screwed up and
how they are repeating the past.
