Great topic! Ask away. Maybe you should come up with a survey or something such on-line, so you'll have some quantifiable data as well.

I'll probably do what I did when I did with the Sherlock Holmes paper --
make up a list of questions and post them for feedback. That's
especially helpful for fan reception -- what kind of AU's do people
read, how far from canon do people feel comfortable, crossovers,
etc.

The conference is in November, so I probably won't
