Oh gosh how awful for you that sounds dreadful. I think it is time to make a new tradition where YOU and Mr Dave are not the lacky's anymore. Maybe if it is impossible to change things it might be time to set up a to do list for everyone and not just you. Tell them you have more important things to do like write Queer Identities!

Now that sounds horrible, at least putting away the dishes couldn't have been so difficult. Didn't you say at least something?

How's the second Sherlock then? Really want to watch it once I'm back in the UK.

I stopped doing it. I worked for two or three days; everyone ate in fifteen minutes. Then they left or hung around in the way or feel asleep. So I stopped. Now my brother and I and anyone who wants to go out to eat and to the movies. m :)
