Oh my god. Justin is in so much pain. It's just agonizing, watching them both endure this and not talk to each other.
I'm glad Michael pointed out to Justin that Brian took Justin's "paying him back" as "I don't love you anymore. And, by the way, fuck you." Justin should have known how Brian would take it, should have known Brian would be hurt by it.

And yes, you twat, he's in pain! You need to talk to him!

So much angst!

They're both in pain, but Justin is also in deep denial.

OMG you are going to make this hurt right to the end. I had such hopes that we were going to have a reunion and our boys back together, but no more pain yet I fear.

Noooo! How can it get worse? No, I don't want to know, it's so painful already! You can't make Brian go through the cancer alone! He needs Justin. They need each other!

I like the stream of consciousness writing that you did with Justin. It worked perfectly in this update. His mind is running a mile a minute. I wish they'd really talk to each other instead of sniping around. Brian can't go through his cancer alone, can he?

He can't control what's happening around him and his
own body and mind are also rebelling. That's not a
recipe for good decisions!.

You know it's really odd, how in this story and in canon Justin held all the power. From the moment he decided to get on that plane with Lindsay, he has been making all the big moves, isn't it time if he really wants to work this out with Brian he should cut through the pain and get on with it already. Yes he's growing up, yes he is figuring out the world isn't some perfect blue marble stuck in the cosmos, and yes the Vaughn thing threw him for a loop, but Even now if Justin would just say something positive, reach out, I am sure Brian would grab on to that like a life line.

Brian's isn't just talking about not living in Pittsburgh anymore, he's screaming out for a reason to live period, and I just wish that Justin would hear what he's saying.

Justin did hold much of the power.

Brian is a reactor -- when he plans things it's usually
a disastrous push-off-the-cliff kind of things that never
turns out right. Justin has always been more successful
in scheming -- and in playing Brian.

But right now they are both flailing.

The funeral scene is so freaking angsty, and I just lost an uncle recently(brain cancer, sadly), I can't help but feeling depressing.

Thank you for your update, I really hope they can get better, because, they can't get worse, right?

Love from Alex
