Oh, poor Brian. I'm glad he's able to talk to Justin about the bombing. I'm sure it will take some time, but hopefully Justin can help him overcome his guilt for surviving.

Yes, I agree with Debv3, I love Justin so insightful and caring and I also love Brian trying to protect Justin from himself, however misguidedly. Brian will have to come to terms with not being perfect to look at, as Justin seems to have done. Of course Justin has all the overwhelming joy of having made love for the first time, with the man he's in love with - more than once - and he's not going to let that go as far as I can see.

Justin's so strong, he's had longer to come to terms with his damage, and poor Brian has original scars from his childhood he was covering with his magnificent beauty but he's still very worth loving, he just has to learn it from Justin.

Love your work, Gaedhal, as usual I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Thank-you for giving us this pleasure.

Everything Brian is was tied up in his physical attractiveness
and sex appeal. Now he has to move on from that.

Theodore and Emmett and Ben and Dusty and all the others. No wonder Brian is haunted by the memories.
He had to tell Justin - there's trust building there - and Justin is strong enough to stay. They're both healing, not that Brian would acknowledge that.
