I like the slow and easy way they are "silently" negotiating this relationship. Ron hints at moving in then Brian explains something (Brian explains!). Ron throws out an idea and Brian responds.
I thought it was interesting that Brian had already thought about selling the loft. The house will be a big step as well.
I'm very interested in seeing how Ron convinces him to move to LA.
I think that's part of it -- it's a lifestyle that he's moving away from. There IS no "room" for Gus, really, especially as he gets older. It's a "fuck pad" as Jennifer so aptly puts it. Brian no longer needs only a fuck pad -- he needs a real home.
I think a transition period after what Brian went through is right -- he's searching around for something he can hang onto. And it isn't doing it for him in Pittsburgh.
I must applaud Ron, here. Clever and insightful way to get Brian to consider what is left for him in Pittsburgh and to realize the options, much better options IMO, elsewhere. Still loving this story very much, Gael, thank you for continuing. I have great hopes for this couple.
Very subtle Ron. Still, Brian needs the thought of maybe living in LA with Ron growing in his mind to actually consider it for real. Like was said before I like the easy banter between them. I wonder if they'll make it to the parties or if they do how long they will attend.
But Brian closed his eyes and sighed as he slumped even deeper into the bubbling tub. "Five more minutes, okay?"
I loved this. It makes Brian sound like a young boy.
I like that Ron is making his intentions clear without badgering Brian. That's the last thing he needs. And Brian seems open to the idea, at least a little bit.

It's a place he was ready to leave behind. So maybe it's
time to do so.

he isn't pushing Brian, he's dropping hints that are
pretty obvious, but also realistic.
And Brian's thinking things over.

the only others.
