I'm grabbing it. The background comes across more as texture than clutter.

I like the heightening contrast and blue saturation (especially for the iris). The decoration left showing on the skin is a nice complement to the slightly worried expression as it looks like tattooing but unusually (for the West) on the face (i.e. something not quite normal and therefore unsettling); similarly the exaggerated shadow gives the impression that it's hiding something nasty and that his anxiety is probably well-founded! Nice.
