Last week Brian and I watched a show on Dateline about coffee. They did a blind taste test with like 6 different brands. The point of it all was to see if higher priced coffee was better than the cheaper stuff. (story here) I've drank Folgers for years and wouldn't you know, they rated worst out of all the coffees. Yuban is what we drink in the office, but just cuz it's from Costco. I am not a coffee snob and yuban is fine with me, but fresh ground beans from any number of specialty coffee shops sure is good. :)

BTW, personally, I think Folger's is yucky, but when I need a quick caffeine boost, ain't none better.

i drink folgers because that's what the office buys. it's crap, dude! we get fresh ground stuff for home. just grocery store brand or whatever. it's a world of difference!

Yeah, that's actually how I got stuck on Folgers because I started drinking coffee while working at the publishing company and that's what they used. That fresh ground stuff, are you talking about the kind that has a dispenser and you put it in a bag?

we get the beans at the grocery store and grind them up there. i want a grinder so i can buy whole beans and grind them right before i make it!

Gotcha. A coffee grinder might be a good thing to buy! Hmmm...I'll have to be on the lookout for a good one.
