Well, I leave the why to you. Gabriel gave a little-kid explanation, so I guess in my head he just had enough of all the stuff that happened to them.

Is it bad that I kind of like crazy!evil!Sam? He kind of reminds me of when Angelus tries to play at caring. The entire thing is so resigned and sad and completely lovely.
