While I definitely subscribe to the school of thought that Alyson Hannigan is a looker, I'm not really one for the goth look.

I've already told you my opinions on whether Xander was special or not, at least as far as it was presented to us with Giles' explanation in the breakdown.

And it's never a positive thing as far as characters are concerned when another character is killed off. That lost character is a chance for development and improvement, and I would have loved to see more of Rack in Season 7. Warren showed up again in his incorporeal, not really the same guy way, but even that wasn't quite what I'd have liked.

You usually catch me off guard with your opinions of this show. On the one hand, I know how much of a Buffy/Spike advocate you are, but I've often see the stance occur at the expense of the other characters. The fact that the closing speech in Grave is one of your favorite scenes in the show makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

Then I remember that I don't do warm and fuzzy and I go make a baby cry.

Oh, uh, sorry.

Um, if an author prescribes to Buffy/Spike, then other relationships and characters are often left unexplored. Xander's a dick because he doesn't like Spike. Willow's a jerk because she isn't awed by his awesome sexiness. Giles dies because he once used cross words with Spike.

Spike is all that's good and holy, and Buffy was a complete moron for not falling in love with him the instant she saw him.

Extremes, maybe, but present. I've got no issue with any pairing or character, although I will say that Buffy/Spike is definitely not one of my favorites. So it kind of bothers me when the entire show, start to finish, is seen through the lens of that pairing, as if the first ALMOST five seasons didn't even happen.

Ah. Each fan enjoys the show in their own way. There's a bazillion different lenses with which to view it. Some people have one lens that they like a lot. Others switch lenses depending on what they're looking at. Whatever works for them and makes their fandom awesome.

1. Don't you dare make me choose between the Dark Willow episodes. All of them.

2. Warren. Rack was bad, but not quite as unstable as Warren.

3. Of course! 'Nuff said.

4. See: 3.

5. Xander is absolutely special. Not only is he the only one who could get through to her, but I reckon he's the only one who would have tried and been completely truthful in the endeavor.

6. Got rid of Warren and Looked really hot. There are other good things, but the questiond did say best.

Sadistic poll is sadistic. :)

I kinda love Warren going to visit Rack. Rack's so thoroughly unimpressed in an amused way by how bad Warren's not.

But, then, I kinda have a huge love-on for Jeff Kober, who also played Kralik in Helpless.

Ah, I should've heeded (and noticed) the picture.

I have CHEATED and not picked a favourite Dark Willow episode because it is TOO HARD. *nods* They're all awesome for different reasons and this is just all there is.

I have come down on the side of Xander being special. Because he really did just nail it and connected with her on a level that she really needed right then. I think Buffy COULD have maybe done it but Xander just sees things and gets it right. *loves Xander*

HAH! YOU CANNOT STOP ME! I AM A CHEATING CHEATER! I AM A REBEL! OR SOMETHING. YEAH! FIGHT THE POWER! (I also accidently posted that comment before actually voting on the poll which was pretty stupid!)

I went with "Villains" for the same reason as I went with "Warren": that scene never gets old.

I couldn't remember which ep was which - they get all blendy - so I just said all.

Then I went with Rack. I know the pop choice is Warren, but...I dunno. With Rack it was just so simple - less...conflicty. Like, he died, woo to the hoo. Warren's death was so complicated and hard to watch.

Obviously I cheered when Giles came. Such a great moment.

Obvs a fan of the yellow crayon speech, cause...yeah. Duh.

I think Xander was special. I dunno, I just don't see anyone else being able to do that, being that close to Willow. Buffy maybe, but she's not quite there. Too much bad blood.

And then I checked them all, cause they all applied! :P

Rack is the much-forgotten victim. And his death was kinda awesome.

But I think her "Bored now" with Warren sells it for me. That's just cool.
