Our local public library sends e-mail reminders for upcoming due dates and notices when books placed on hold are in etc. from the e-mail address: sirsi@accpl.net.

Every time I get one, I allow my mind to twist the letters enough to imagine I'm getting an e-mail from Sirius.

I am lame.

That is quite understandable!! You and I both wish ...

Last Friday, got our work library's routine weekly circulation notes, termed a library 'alert'. I emailed back to the guy, saying that I was relieved to see that the Library's staff were behaving sensibly in this time of Flu panic, and were Alert but not Alarmed.

LOL! Wouldn't we just love that, both of us. *sigh* I don't think I've grieved so badly for a fictional character, ever.

Of course we are in denial! JKR did an excellent job of killing off most of the people who actually deserved some happiness in their lives - and in a magnanimous gesture, I'll even include Snape in that group.
