The Sun, My Skin and I

I've always enjoyed sunbathing. Lying down on the sand. Feeling the sun's warmth on my skin. Sometimes enjoying it all with a coconut oil massage. Pushing my sun exposure time to the limits by staying on the beach and enjoying the sun -- yes, even into the 10am-2pm window.

In grade school and high school, I used tanning oil or lotion. Then ( Read more... )

wow. ako rin kaya...? pero naman, i think i don't need the sun block chorvas because, seriously, my skin looks like it hasn't seen even a glimpse of the sun in ten million years.

yes, i have neon legs too. :(

looks like it hasn't seen the sun or hindi talaga na expose sa sun?

don't you need sunblock more when you're fairer? anyway, UV damage is not just superficial so no harm in using preventive products. some of what i use are acne-preventive and not UV-protective. malou (my derma) gave them to me cause she finds my pimple-phobia/paranoia amusing. i've been running to her every so often for even the tiniest zit. minsan nga hindi pa hinog so she makes me come back after a couple of days. most likely, she doesn't want to see me as much. hahaha

i read that apparently the sunblocks with more than 15 spf would tend to irritate skin cus of mga additives or whatnot, and as long as youre using 15 that it's safe. we have a huge bottle of spf 45 tho, so it's all good ;)

my skin is allright but my recent pet peeve is to look for something to remove my eyebags. i kusot my eyes all the time cus i have allergies+asthma, and i think i'd be getting wrinkles under my eyes cus of that.

i read that anything over spf 30 (or was it 35?) doesn't offer a significantly increased protection that's why companies have been advised to just put spf 30+.
